A First War Royal Horse Artillery Commemorative Medal In Case Hold Iron Cross 2nd Class 1914Bronze, obverse illustrating the Royal Artillery insignia, reverse inscribed "CAMPAIGN 1914 1915" in the centre, surrounded by the inscription "FROM CAPT. J. L. C. WHITE, R. H. A.", 38. 5 mm, oxidation spot on the reverse, near extremely fine. In its hardshelled case of issue, maker marked "ELKINGTON & Co. Ltd." on the inside lid, purple velvet recessed medal bed, scuffed exterior, wear in the fabric overlaying the hinge, case fine.
