A silver eight pointed star; the obverse depicting a central red enameled medallion with a gold rampant lion, surrounded by a white ring of enamels, inscribed FR EHRE UND WAHRHEIT (German For honour and truth) in gold letters, with two laurel leaves at the bottom; the reverse plain, marked Godet in Berlin in capital letters; with a slender banjo style pinback and a functional hinge
