but if so it has been removed along with the loops it would have been attached to

I actually like this necklace with the AB surfaces facing up AND the other way around with the gold tone flat surfaces and the red sides of the fringe rhinestones showing. This is a beautifully made piece it has a nice weight and you can feel some quality when you handle it.
