As with much of my work I followed the process of using original recipes to create the paint and processes to age the finish with lovely crackles and worn away areas leaving an authentic look and texture of paints from early 18th century or older

I used a very dark brown with a reddish tint piece of leather and then aged it slightly to fit in with the rest of the desk style
