Like many young people, my grandmothers were influential in my creative pursuits. My French grandmother, Ma Mere taught me all about crochet and knitting and was the ultimate use what you got resourceful woman. I can still see in my mind that oversized braided rug she made out of old coats and scraps of wool. It filled up
