Japanese Shomon Dansu - Kiri Wood - Edo Period Chest of Drawers Our TAL design is aThis rare antique Japanese cabinet with drawers is very unusual and known as a Shomon Dansu. Shomon Dansu is a term given to Japanese deed or document chest Dansu with drawers behind doors. This piece dates to the Edo period (1603 1867AD) before Japan opened up to the world.
