Bajot tables were used for day to day dining and also for displaying leisure paraphernalia such as opium or writing equipment. These low Indian prayer tables were known as bajots and are found in many styles around Northern India. The colourful and beautifully turned and lacquered legs and intricate carvings are influenced by the Mughal period in India
